Xin chào mọi người làm đẹp / Hello beautiful people! My name is Cindy Truong. I am honored to be the President of the University of Iowa Vietnamese Student Association for the 2024-2025 year. Since 1983, VSA’s foundation has evolved into a successful student organization curated by our alumni. Since then, our organization strives to promote Vietnamese heritage and culture throughout campus and the community. 

 

I am beyond excited to present another year of amazing cultural performances, lion dancing, and show production to you all at our Tết / Lunar New Year event. This year is Year of the Wood Snake, where wisdom, strength, and regeneration are embraced through our theme, “Under the City Lights” for this year's show.

 

“Live, Laugh, Love VSA” - This phrase has resonated with me since I first joined the organization back in 2021. Since then, I have been passionately committed to promoting a safe & inclusive space for all individuals in VSA. A space to spread love, joy, and happiness to others, but to ourselves as well. My team and I have been working incredibly hard to make this year's show the best it ever has been, and I am so beyond grateful for the hard work they have put into this. Thank you everyone for being a part of our journey as your love and support mean the world to VSA. We look forward to seeing you at our show and we wish you a year of luck, strength, and celebration!
